Local TCV for your computer

Draft Tri-Agency CV sections on your Mac or PC. Your CV stays on your device — it is not sent to an online AI service.

Technical beta: These ZIP downloads are fallback installers for early testing. They may ask you to install Python and Ollama. Signed, self-contained Mac and Windows installers are still being prepared for the public launch.

Choose your computer

After downloading, open the zip file.

View the archive of past Mac and Windows versions

Then do this

  1. Open the zip and double-click Install Local TCV Desktop.
  2. If asked, install Python and Ollama (both free), then run the installer again.
  3. When setup finishes, Local TCV opens in its own window. Later, use the Local TCV icon on your Desktop.

Before downloading: allow at least 6 GB of free space and use an internet connection. Setup may require Python 3.10–3.13, Ollama, and permission from your institution’s IT department. Setup downloads software and an AI model, but it does not upload your CV.

Why use the desktop version?

  • Works on computers that cannot run the browser-only version
  • Uses AI that runs on your machine
  • Same guided steps: gather evidence, check it, then draft

Prefer not to install anything? Use the browser assistant instead. Chrome or Edge is the safest choice; support in Firefox and Safari varies by computer.

If something goes wrong

  • Mac says it cannot verify the installer: do not bypass the warning. Use the browser assistant, ask your institution’s IT team to review the technical-beta package, or wait for the signed public installer.
  • Windows warns about an unknown app: do not choose “Run anyway.” Use the browser assistant, ask your institution’s IT team to review the technical-beta package, or wait for the signed public installer.
  • Installer asks for Python: install from python.org (on Windows, tick “Add python.exe to PATH”), then run the installer again.
  • Installer asks for Ollama: install from ollama.com, open Ollama once, then run the installer again.
